They approached me to design, develop, and manage the redesign of their former website. I teamed up with designer Maciej Mach to design the website, which includes ten design templates and custom illustrations. Maciej designed the majority of the site, and I used the typographic styles he established to design and layout the blog section. I developed a custom WordPress theme to allow them to update and maintain a variety of content and page templates: all the text you see on the site is fully updatable from the admin panel. The slickest part of the site is the internal page and blog navigation. It's powered by the HTML5 history api and a jQuery based ajax script so you never have to reload the page while navigating between parent pages and their respective children. The power of HTML5 allows you to still use your browser's back and forward buttons. He needed a blog that would allow him to easily manage thousands of his photos with a clean, minimalist design. I developed a custom WordPress theme using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery. The site features twitter integration on the home page, "full" and "thumbnail" views in the "News" and "Daily" sections, and uses "infinite scroll" on the three category archives ("Fashion", "Music", and "Art & Culture") to dynamically pull older content onto the page via AJAX. A comment from Kevin: "The response [to the new site] has been overwhelmingly positive, and word of mouth has been great: traffic is much higher, and it has been fun seeing reactions to different site posts on Twitter and Facebook."
